Wally Rodriguez, founder and director of visual effects of Upstairs, announced to PRODU that Emiliano Pernia would be joining the team, as visual artist and colorist effects. Pernia, from Argentina, has extensive experience in the world of post production, both in Latin America and Asia, and recently in the US Hispanic market.”We are excited about the arrival of Emiliano to the team of Upstairs, because he has extensive experience in terms of special effects, and has impeccable taste in color correction,” Rodriguez said.”Emiliano is a great artist who has the ability to work with visual effects and color correction at the same time and on the same platform. This is a very hard quality to find in an artist, which allows us to achieve stunning visual results,” Anabella Sosa, president of Upstairs, said.Pernia began his career as a production editor in Argentina, but he was more interested in visual effects. At first he studied graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires, Systems Engineering and then finally filmmaking.His first experience in the Hispanic market in the US was in the producer Right Cut Media house as VFX supervisor, composer and colorist, he had previously worked in Mexico, where he made the campaign of the Bicentenario of Mexico for Televisa, as VFX supervisor, and from there he went to India to take part in a short film in 3D.
