Emigdio Shooters Films
As Mexican filmmaker Emigdio González-Mollä recently joined the Shooters Films team, the company’s Executive Producer Mauricio Jemal said “Emi comes at a very important time for our production house – we’ve been growing and facing new challenges as never before. Soon we’ll be producing a feature film in Cuba and another in Mexico.” “Emi is the perfect storm. His visual style is really fresh and perfectly complements our firm. He is a Millennial with great experience and a very promising future. Shooter has a great roster of directors that positions us among the top production shops in the market, and Emi’s arrival only strengthens our position. He couldn’t have come at a better time,” Jemal said. González-Mollä has dreamed of taking his vision to new markets, above all to the Hispanic market. “To me, Shooters is a great chance to grow and explore different ideas. I want to interpret projects full of technical and narrative challenges with the generational culture of my time. I see Shooters as a great showcase – there’s nothing better than being represented in the U.S. by a prestigious and respected production house,” he said. He loves advertising for the variety of its projects. “I think my directing style has developed by giving each of my projects a fresh, contemporary approach with an enticingly different visual technique,” he added. “We directors have to evolve hand in hand with the new generations in order to identify the brand with their interests.”
