American adults spend on average 21 minutes a day on Facebook by the end of 2014; according to figures from eMarketer’s new report and its first analysis of daily time spent on this social network. These 1260 seconds represent a third of total daily time spent on social networks, 6.0% of the time in which they use their digital devices, and 2.8% of time spent on all media. Furthermore, according to the report, the time in which adults in the United States remain in the mainstream media will increase in 21 minutes compared to 2013, totaling 12 hours and 28 minutes of media consumption in 2014.An average of 21 minutes a day dedicated to Facebook may seem small, but that figure is the average of the entire adult population, and only 52.8% of American adults -129 million of people logged on to Facebook at least once a month in 2014 among adult users of Facebook, the average time per day in this network is 39 minutes, which represents 38.1% of their daily time spent on social networks. Almost half of the time spent on mainstream media will be through digital devices in 2014, accounting for 5 hours and 416 minutes.
