Diana: La belleza es fortaleza. La belleza es confianza
Dove Real Beauty Productions and Creative Director, Shonda Rhimes, launched their third film, Meet Diana, that tells the journey of a 5th grade teacher who reclaims her life after losing a leg in an accident. “I am not interested in hiding it” says the protagonist, Diana Wright, who now uses a prosthesis. Meet Diana is a three-minute-film that illustrates the power every woman has to help the next generation develop confidence in their true beauty. When Diana looks at her prosthetic leg, she is reminded that beauty is perseverance in the face of adversity. “Beauty is strength. Beauty is confidence” she says. And she wants her two daughters to know that. This film is part of the Dove Self-Esteem Project created 10 years ago to ensure the next generation develops a positive relationship with the way they look, helping girls attain the confidence they need to reach their potential. This project has the selfesteem.dove.us website that offers tips, articles, and advice from experts in this topic. The brand’s aim is to change the lives of 20 million girls by 2020 with self-esteem education.“With Dove Real Beauty Productions, we are addressing the issue from the inside out to ensure that women and girls see their real beauty reflected on screen” said Nick Soukas, Dove’s Marketing VP.
