Last October,6th Verizon Communications named Diego Scotti as CEO of Marketing. The Argentine will now lead the marketing efforts for all business units of wired and wireless services from Verizon, as the company continues to differentiate itself as a leader in a strongly competitive sector. About the decision, Lowell McAdam, Verizons president and CEO, said: “Diego has a proven track record with results that have grown market share and brand loyalty throughout his career. He brings expertise in traditional and digital marketing, needed to expand our leadership position.”Scotti, named one of the 40 marketing personalities under 40 by Advertising Age in 2007, has a rich experience in the creation and development of marketing strategies, and innovative and unique customer experiences. Recently, he served as general director of Marketing at J.Crew, and has worked with major brands such as American Express and Conde Nast. “I am pleased to join the industry leader and I am looking forward to collaborating with the team to continue winning in the marketplace,” Scotti said, who will now be in charge of all aspects of the overall management of the Verizon brand, including advertising, customer review, digital marketing, creative development, marketing effectiveness, media and sponsorships, social responsibility and employee communications.
