Diego Figueroa joins Lapiz as senior VP and new director of strategy and participation

Figueroa viene de ocupar el cargo de director de Planificación de Grupo de McGarry Bowen

Diego Figueroa has joined Lapiz-Leo Burnett as senior VP and director of strategy and participation. With a deep knowledge of general-market and multicultural planning, Figueroa will report directly to Gustavo Razzetti and will be in charge of supervising the agency’s strategy department, which handles brand strategy, consumer engagement, research and shopper marketing.“I had several offers at the same time as Lapiz, and the reason for my decision was because Lapiz has always had a very interesting creative north, and a new vision of what an agency has to be like in today’s market – that’s why I saw it as a golden opportunity” Figueroa told PRODU.Among his great achievements was turning Taco Bell into a brand with appeal for a new generation of Americans. With more than a decade of experience in the industry, Figueroa has worked for global brands like Coca-Cola, Taco Bell, Nestle, State Farm, Levi, Nextel, Nissan and more. Previously he held the position of group planning director at McGarry Bowen, which serves such clients as Cars.com, Disney and Mondelez Global.“Diego’s seasoned experience and wealth of knowledge in both the cross-cultural and general markets is an invaluable asset” said Gustavo Razzetti, executive VP and general manager of Lapiz.For Figueroa, the next goals on his to-do list are to “help Lapiz make the transition to becoming a new agency with a growth culture, and at the same time generate a level of engagement with different media, particularly new alternatives for reaching the consumer beyond traditional media”.
