The Sizling Bacon es uno de los productos ficticios que forman parte de la campaña
Deutsch L.A. developed a campaign to promote the Bacon Club Chalupa, Taco Bell’s new dish. The pieces fool around with humor and mock a disproportionate passion for bacon. They made five 30-second commercials in which they spread the message Bacon you cant eat is bacon you dont need. The campaign has a main piece titled Bacon Mall, in which a young man walks around a mall and is perplexed by a great variety of non-edible products made of bacon. He finally arrives at Taco Bell where he orders a Bacon Club Chalupa. The commercial ends with the product’s main slogan. The other ads depict regular non-edible products made of bacon, such as the sports shoes Bacon One, the perfume Bacologne and the pen drive The Sizzling Bacon. The way they’re made leads people to think they are real products, until the videos are interrupted with the notion that bacon is for eating. The humorous and sarcastic idea was created by: Pete Favat, CCO; Brett Craig, Executive Creative Director; Guto Araki and Tom Pettus, Group Creative Directors; Andy Pearson and Ken Slater, Creative Directors; Jeremiah Wassom, Associate Creative Director; Chris Pouy, Senior Copywriter; Vic Palumbo, Director of Integrated Production; Paul Roy and Jamie Gartner, Producers; Evan Aronson, Assistant Integrated Producer; and Dave Rocco Musical Director.
