Dennys restaurant chain has announced its contribution of $50,000 to the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program, administered by Step Up For Students. Dennys contribution will finance close to 10 scholarships for students from low-income families in Florida.The non-profit Step Up For Students manages around 60,000 scholarships per school year with the help of corporations like Dennys. Since the program began in 2002, the business community has invested more than $1 billion, which has meant more than 271,000 scholarships for needy kids.We are honored to welcome Dennys as a partner in our mission to help low-income Florida students access schools that fit their unique learning needs said Doug Tuthill, president of Step Up For Students.
