To celebrate 2016 Earth Day, DDB Worldwide announced on Wednesday April 20th the launch of the crowdsourcing social campaign #EarthDayDDB. The idea is to carry out a movement on networks to promote the preservation of the planet through creativity and good ideas. The global campaign created by DM9DDB Brasil was launched on Friday April 22.”Creativity will always be a source of change. We’re facing a generation who understands that small individual actions can contribute to global change, who understands the power of ‘we’ and how their united voice can generate massive change” commented Juan Carlos Ortiz, President of DDB Latina and Creative Chairman of DDB Americas.Based on the idea that each person is an agent of change to contribute with the planet’s wellbeing, DDB is summoning more than 200 offices in 90 countries as well as the agency’s social media audiences to create the biggest Twitter brainstorm of all times. The campaign motivates people to send their best ideas to preserve the planet to @DDB_Worldwide using #EarthDayDDB. As people send their ideas, a select group of creatives will guide them to implement the programs. At the end of the day, DDB’s global creative council will choose the winning idea and will promote the program within the organization as the agency’s commitment to preserve the planet. The campaign consists of a {website;www.earthdayddb.com} featuring a video manifesto to create awareness and invite people to contribute to the cause.
