A year after Miller Lite halted the reactivation of its classic campaign that celebrated the in-person contact among friends, the beer brand is launching a follow-up version called “Beer Me.” The campaign developed by alma and DDB Chicago is based on a series of ads that show people in some rather uncomfortable situations that they long to get out of, such as getting to know their future in-laws and a professional networking event. But they are fortunately provided with an escape in the form of a cold Miller Lite, which whisks them away to a basement or a campfire where they spend some fun time with their friends. The spots end with the slogan “Your friends are waiting”. See the campaign here.“How would it be in these difficult times if you could enjoy a Miller Lite and spend a little Miller Time with your true friends?” said Courtney Benedict, senior marketing director of the Miller brand. “We’re trying t show that Miller Time is made up of those memorable moments with your friends when you can just be yourself, and that they are just one Miller Lite away,” Benedict said.
