Marcet: FIAP 2013 será lo mejor de dos universos potenciándose: Iberoamérica y el mercado hispano de EE UU
Giving an idea of what to expect at the 2013 Ibero-American Advertising Festival, or FIAP, to be held April 29-May 21 at the Eden Roc Renaissance Hotel in Miami Beach, Daniel Marcet, CEO of the festival, filled PRODU in on its recent accord with AHAA and the Hispanic Circulo Creativo to offer activities for different markets. The most important innovation is that FIAP will be staged in conjunction with the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies, or AHAA, and the Hispanic Circulo Creativo, both as local partners. It will be the best of both worlds, Ibero-America and the U.S. Hispanic market strengthening each other under the umbrella of Under the Influence, The Power of Ibero-America, and U.S. Hispanics in Marketing and Creativity, Marcet said.Such a structure will guarantee the festival a large attendance from the Hispanic market, including the most important U.S. advertisers and media, while AHAA and USH Idea will be enriched by delegations from the rest of the region and by the contribution of its creatives. The conference will be held for the second time in Miami and for the first time at the Eden Roc Renaissance Hotel, with the USH Idea and FIAP awards ceremonies planned for April 30 and May 1, respectively, at the New World Symphony Center. With regard to new disciplines, Marcet said that the new Effective Creativity category will be a response to the need to recognize creativity not only as a tool but also to show its direct impact on the profitability and positioning of a brand.
