Usain Bolt en la campaña de Nissan
The production company, Cortez Brothers, is proud to announce that one of its Directors, Mariana was in charge of directing Nissan’s latest campaign for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The piece is titled Fire vs. Bolt and stars Usain Bolt, the Olympic runner who has won six gold medals. A few days before the start of the Olympic Games, Nissan Brazil launched this campaign in which Bolt has an opponent he has never seen before: fire. A sort of mini documentary filmed in his native Jamaica, depicts Bolt’s expectations for being increasingly faster. In a fictitious “fire research” lab he appears competing with a blazing road. Throughout the video, the athlete drives his Nissan GT-R. The project was launched on social networks with several short versions of the film graphs made with 19,000 lit matches to emphasize the drama of the competition with fire. Additional behind camera material has been spread, boosted by the Olympic games and a big investment in social media made by Nissan Brazil. The Director of the commercial has wide experience and acknowledgement in the industry. In 2015 she was awarded in Cannes for her work for Rolling Stone and her client portfolio includes Fiat, Sky, Natura, Samsung, Gatorade and Nissan. Another of her most recent works is a commercial for Gatorade that also stars Bolt, but narrates his evolution from birth to current times.
