Aranovich dirigió el corto para contribuir con la consciencia ambiental

The Director of Nunchaku, Clara Aranovich, made a campaign to raise awareness on ocean pollution, titled {Thank you have a nice day;www.produ.com/publicidad/videos/index.html?Noti=11135}. The initiative stemmed from a personal idea and then she got in touch with the NGO, The Ocean Fund to donate the film and make sure it was spread. The short film is about the enormous amount of plastic that reaches the oceans every day.Aranovich shared with PRODU that this was a thrilling project. “Cinema, although it is very technical and sometimes commercial, is an inherently expressive, artistic activity. But it is important to do things on your own, without having to please others or to be supervised. When you do that, you see how your own voice develops and you try out radical things” she said. “The topic of this piece is environmental awareness and I feel we all have the obligation to give something back to our communities, to the earth. As a film maker, to make a film about this cause that moves me so much was an obvious step. I didn’t find any other way, aside from picking up garbage, which I have already done, to contribute with solving this massive global problem.”The four-minute-long short film was a great production challenge. Aranovich worked alone with her Photography Director, Andrew Gerety, who operated the drone. “We needed a minimal crew so we wouldn’t draw people’s attention when filming in the city” she added.
