Creative agency, Chandelier, made a campaign to promote Old Navy’s special sales during the back-to-school season. The star in the spots is Julia Louis-Dreyfus.In the commercial, she portrays the role of a controlling mother who humiliates her pre-teen son when taking him to school dressed rigid and formally. Before dropping him off, the kid asks her why he can’t dress like the other kids, pointing to a group of youngsters who look cool. Julia Louis-Dreyfus immediately questions them about their attires. The kids explain that all their clothes are from Old Navy and that they were inexpensive. When she hears the prices, she tells her son that he´ll be late for his first day of class.This is a 30-second spot that urges parents to visit Old Navy stores to take full advantage of the sale. Aside from this piece, there are a couple of complementary videos with the same concept, but in different situations.
