Carolina Casares, Yahoos Spanish Media Director for LatAm and Spain told PRODU that for the 2016 Olympic they will focus on telling original stories and creating instant reactions in all content platforms. “For this event the goal is keeping a visual coverage offering image galleries, stories and original content, and investing hard in video production”. She said that todays user is demanding a space to express his instant reaction through social networks. The major informative investment will be on social media, she explained. “All our content will be produced thinking in mobile users so they can consume and share first-hand information” she said. “According to Hispanic trends, were focusing in usage opportunities in video and mobile during the Olympics in order to serve better our clients.” Yahoos Olympic coverage will be from three key points: Rio de Janeiro, where the main games will take place; Sao Paulo, in their recent opened office, and Miami. “All three have special studios where well be producing three daily programs both in Spanish and English” Casares said.
