Microsoft Advertising, sponsor of the Cyber category in the 2015 Cannes Lions category, brings a new edition of Sudacannes, which summons students and professionals in the industry to explore diverse aspects of advertising life and win two tablets per week. This year’s concept is to celebrate people who create great ideas and not just campaigns.The idea is to reward anonymous heroes in the advertising industry. Carlos Maltagliatti, Sales Solutions Specialist in Microsoft, explained that “this year we decided to create our own award, the #SUDALIONS, to print them in 3D and invite users on our official website to acknowledge the copywriter who corrected the copy 10 minutes before it went to the print and thus avoided a catastrophe. It is to tell everyday Lions they are key to the agency in critical and difficult moments”.It is an interactive prize, since the creatives themselves nominate their co-workers to win a Sudalion. Those who nominate more people will also be rewarded with a tablet. The contest is for Mexico, the US, Argentina, Chile and Colombia, countries where Microsoft Advertising has more advertising investment. Maltagliatti commented that “this year Microsoft Advertising continues with the sponsorship in the Cyber category in Cannes because the advertising business is increasingly more important for the transformation of the company towards a world of mobile devices and services”. They will add other elements that may be followed with the hashtag #EmpowerCreativity.
