SatisFries tienen 40% menos de grasa y 30% menos calorías
Last September, Burger King launched a special kind of french fries with 40 percent less fat and 30 percent fewer calories than the usual fries served up by most fast-foods chaina. The SatisFries looks and tastes just like the chains regular crinkle fries But heres the secret they dont absorb as much fat from their deep-fried bath, says Time writer and producer Alexandra Sifferlin.SatisFries are made with the same oil and equipment as the traditional french fries, and, not surprisingly, Burger King wont reveal the oil-repelling agent responsible, Sifferlin says. The fast-food chain recently announced that SatisFries will be automatically included in meals for children, instead of the usual ones with more calories. Time says that other kinds of foods included in meals are slices of apple as an option with a cheeseburger, hamburger, or four to six pieces of chicken nuggets.Nonetheless, Burger King makes it clear that the food is still fried, so the company avoids saying that the SatisFries are healthy, only that theyre healthier than conventional fries.
