Brian Carmody, Film Craft’s president of the jury: There were fair results in this category

It is always a new process in each jury and discussions are not easy, but feel strong with each of the choices we make,” said Brian Carmody, CEO and CCO of Smuggler and president of the jury.Meanwhile, Jenny Gladd, Executive Director of Content Production for Ogilvy Mather NY, said: “There were about six or eight pieces which could have been candidates for the Grand Prix, but they did not convince us at the end.”On his behalf, Martin Loraine Deputy, ECD’s AMV BBDO UK, considered that many golds were awarded. “We did not give the Grand Prix because there was no a piece that shined above all gold, which is why instead of giving it because we had to, we decided to leave the category empty.”Regarding the jury’s decision for not delivering the Grand Prix, Carmody said it was a unanimous decision. “It was a fair result for this category in terms of all disciplines: the effect of the piece, the futuristic vision of the piece and it is not an issue because the pieces look into the future, but it can also be for pieces made in the past, but which have been made in a brilliant way,” he added.
