The Same $alary Project was the winning idea of the I Ideathon by the LatAm region of DDB Worldwide, in the aim to seek a creative solution to the inequality women suffer. The Brazilian agency was the winner of the marathon. Their project consisted in giving an award to companies that had more salary equality between men and women. Nathalia Andrijic, Laura Varante, Luiza Madeira and Valter Bombonato were the leaders of the proposal. The other winning campaign was titled Las Mujeres Hacen Toda la Diferencia (Women Make all the Difference), by the group formed by André Presoso and Joao Mosterio from Brazil and that suggested women in DDBs Latin American agencies had a one day stop to reflect the absence in some of the agency´s key functions. The jury, made up by women leaders in different areas, thought that the winning idea was the umbrella for the others, because it gathers creativity, analysis, visual impact, strength and is executable. Juan Carlos Ortiz, President of DDB Latina and Creative Chairman at DDB Américas, told PRODU that it was an exciting activity, thanks to the luxury group, with high level influential women. “The internal participation of DDB Latina has been absolute, people worked 48 hours to present their campaigns. Ultimately, a thrilling event because it was created for a noble cause that was the pursuit of equality between men and women at work. It is gratifying to be able to see how this seed is planted from our own teams.”
