The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity announced that the event this year will include a program dedicated to celebrating the scope of Brazilian creativity.About the decision to launch Brazil Day , Lions Festivals CEO Philip Thomas said “The 2013 Cannes Report ranked Brazil as the second most creative country in the world and São Paulo as the most creative city in the world, with the countrys total haul of lion trophies amounting to 114. On top of this, the reports highest-ranked creative director, art director and copywriter all hail from Brazil. Its proof that the industry in Brazil is rocketing at the moment and we want to be able to bring a bit of this to Cannes, offering inspiration and insight from some of the most creative minds currently working in Brazil.Brazil Day is on Thursday, June 19 at the Palais des Festvals in Cannes, France, and will offer 13 seminars and screenings that Dayexplore Brazil, its innovations and its future.Notable among the presentations confirmed up to now is that of Fred Gelli, creative director of Tatil Designing Ideas, who will tell how his agency is designing the complex visual identity for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
