The photography social network Pinterest presents its new ads format with moving images. This way, the platform competes directly with the successful Instagram, and allows advertisers to post small videos called Cinematic Pins. When the user surfs the page, the image moves, and when he stops, the picture stays still. This way, says Pinterest, they offer brands an advanced way to tell stories -storytelling- while they give the control to users. According to what Pinterest posted on its blog, among the brands that have already joined this new format are Gap, L’Oreal, Nestlé, Target, Unilever, Visa Checkout and Wendy’s, among others.
