More than an idea it is necessary to have a vision, said Bob Greenberg, founder, president and CEO at the agency R/GA, during his press conference in the Cannes Lions Festival. Greenberg, who will receive a Lions of St. Mark –award that acknowledges extraordinary people in the creative world– maintained that most information is not very useful for creative agencies. “The Cannes awards are a showcase for emerging creativity. That is why the number of award categories has multiplied, to keep up with all the emerging forms of creativity unleashed by technology. We could regret that there are too many categories or that the victories of the job are barely seen by consumers. But there is no other way to handle the fact that we are all living one of the deepest technological transformations in the history of mankind. As n industry, we are still thinking about what to do amidst interruption and opportunity”. He forwarded that RGA has plans to open a number of offices in Latin America, including Mexico City.
