Avocados From Mexico returned this year to SXSW festival to spread among 600,000-plus attendees its #AvoHappiness – the joy one gets from eating avocados-. The brand is part of the event that celebrates the convergence of interactive, film, and music industries, taking place between March 10th-19th, at Austin, Texas. “One of the biggest opportunities to grow demand for Avocados From Mexico is to build relationships with millennials” said Mark García, Foodservice Marketing Director at Avocados From Mexico in a press release. He explained that at SXSW, they can engage with fans where production brands aren’t present. The #AvoHappiness experience will be at the SouthBites Trailer Park, featuring the best roving restaurants from Texas and across the U.S. with three unique activations: Avo-Matic, Park Takeover and Guac Bar. The first includes recognizing guest’s emotions based on their facial cues while tasting from a selection of 15 options prepared with avocados, guest can win a concert package by sharing a photo of their happy face in social media. The second will spotlight unique avocado usage by working with established chefs and rising names in the ever-expanding food truck industry to incorporate fresh avocados into their menus through innovative and delicious ways. And with Guac Bar, they will be providing made-to-order guacamole samples from a customized, vintage Airstream. In addition, AFM hosted a VIP culinary event on March 14th at Collide ATX, where James Beard-nominated chefs showcased the year-round availability and menu inspiring versatility of fresh avocados from Mexico via a four-course meal.
