Avocados From Mexico will return to the Super Bowl with a message of health and wellbeing. The creative agency GSD&M developed a spot to convey U.S. consumers that avocados have good fat. “Our message for the 2017 Super Bowl takes on something that’s really important right now: health and wellbeing” said Kevin Hamilton, Marketing Director at Avocados From Mexico. “in the last years, believe it or not, this message hasn’t been part of the Super Bowl.” For this next edition of the American football championship, the FDA (Food and Drugs Administration) redefined the way in which the word “healthy” is used on nutrition labels and foods. In the new FDA’s recommendation, avocados are considered as healthy food. A 3′ commercial will run during the game, and a second 60′ version will be available online. “This campaign will be one of the biggest and certainly one of the more integrated runs that we’ve had” Hamilton added. GSD&M also developed the campaign #AvosInSpace, launched during the 2016 Super Bowl.
