El Treasure Truck es la última idea móvil de Amazon
Amazon disappointed its Seattle clients, after creating great expectations about the launching of its mobile innovation, the Treasure Truck, and then postponing it. Since mobile has become more relevant for consumers, brands are attempting to close the gap between the real world and mobile experiences. The difficulties Amazon has encountered prove it is not an easy thing to do.The Treasure Truck is Amazon’s latest mobile idea, a unique initiative in its sector. Through Amazon’s mobile application, users can identify the location of the truck that distributes orders and buy special offers that will only be available on the treasure truck. The service was designed for Seattle, where they plan to launch several trucks with a limited number of articles on sale.”Bridging mobile or digital shopping with the on-site retail experience is not a simple task”, said Shuli Lowy, Marketing Director at Ping Mobile, New York. “From the consumer’s perspective it seems simple, it is simply purchasing a product and picking it up in a location. For Amazon it is much more complex. The inventory must be updated in real time through all of its platforms to ensure the company isn’t selling more products than are actually available”.The trucks were supposed to be released on June 27th. At the moment there isn’t a specific date for the launching and the reasons for the delay are unknown.
