ALMA developed McDonald’s new commercial for Three Kings Day, titled Los Tres Reyes Magos. Álvar Suñol, co-President and CCO of the Hispanic agency was in charge of the idea that resorts to magic and the emotiveness the Holidays imply for Latino families.“This is an excellent example of culturally-driven storytelling at its best” stated Isaac Mizrahi, COO of ALMA. In Mexico and different countries in Latin America, children await Three Kings Day, since there is the belief that gifts arrive that day instead of December 25, as it is in the U.S. The spot shows a father that is addressed by his daughter with the difficult question: “Is it true that the Three Magic Kings are our parents?” While they eat hamburgers at home, the father ponders on the question.For McDondal’s, leading brand in the Hispanic community, it was very important to celebrate this date. ALMA has worked with the brand since 1994, conveying messages that appeal to Latinos´ cultural insights.
