Pickle Music, a new music platform, is an answer to the evolution that the advertising industry has experienced in recent years, according to its founder and composer, Alexis Estiz. “I felt it was time to listen and to change how we see the process of music creation and audio post-production while working with the different formats in a more coherent way. So, I decided to create a new platform with a team of people from different markets within U.S. music and advertising. We were inevitably born thinking about business, whatever that means!” he said. The composer said his team has a very broad background, particularly because its members all come from different markets, which adds different ways of approaching projects from what is usually done in N.Y., L.A., Miami, Latin America or even Europe. “It’s made up of people with a lot of talent and experience, and that‘s the way I like to work” he said. For Estiz, the name Pickle is full of memories. Some are linked to a traditional taste treat of his ancestors, others to the famous Williamsburg shot chaser in New York City where he opened his first Pickle Music studio, and finally to the concept of preservation, which is what is saved over time and what changes take place, and its musical parallel. Pickle Music has already created some important original music and audio post-production for campaigns this year including FCB’sCoorDown and Tide’s Hard Work with Saatchi & Saatchi New York, and is just starting work on a Burger King campaign with We Believers.
