Alex Lopez Negrete, president and CEO of Lopez Negrete Communications, gave PRODU his ideas about the Hispanic market and how 2013 is shaping up for the industry. This market will keep on developing. Were going to see more competition among multicultural agencies, but I believe that many of the challenges and competition will come from Anglo agencies that suddenly want to get into our market. That idea was never as important as it is right now, Lopez Negrete said. The executive stressed that the situation isnt going to get easier – on the contrary, it will only get more difficult. We hope the economy recovers, but of course when that happens people will spend more money and agencies will be battling for it more, he said. After taking on Fernando Osuna as executive creative director of the agency, Lopez Negrete said that having Osuna in that position has prepared the agency to be the best it can be and to keep burnishing the Lopez Negrete brand and the creativity it offer its clients.
