Las ideas ganadoras se darán a conocer a principios del próximo año
The third global Cannes Chimera challenge received a total of 900 entries from 79 different countries, more than half of them from advertising and marketing agencies. The challenge, created by Cannes Lions and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, was launched during the 60th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, calling on creatives for new concepts capable of winning public support for an international agenda that aims to virtually eliminate extreme poverty by the year 2030.This is an outstanding response from our industry. Im delighted to see such engagement for this latest Cannes Chimera challenge, showing how passionate people in our industry are to use their skills for the greater good. This is a chance to use the power of communicating creatively to change peoples behavior that will have compelling consequences for humankind said Philip Thomas, CEO of Lions Festivals.Members of the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Chimera are now judging the first round of the 900 presentations. This will be followed by a second round that will be judged only by the 2013 Cannes Chimera, made up solely of Grand Prix winners from the 2013 Cannes Lions. Up to 10 winners will be chosen, who will take home up to $100,000 each in order to take their winning concepts to the next level. The winning ideas will be announced in early 2014 and those behind the ideas will attend a two-day workshop in March at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation campus in Seattle.
