Digital marketing agency 360i made a commercial for the launch of Oreo Thins, called An Ode to the Forgotten Finger. The initiative will accompany the spot Thinner by The Martin Agency.The star of the commercial is the pinkie. A forgotten finger that is never relevant in the most important everyday situations and who confesses feeling useless. The video tours through a series of moments in which the other fingers are useful: they point, pick, poke, pop and the pinkie is never used. Images are narrated by the forgotten finger through a voice-over. The spot ends when the pinkie says it is only useful for making legal agreements between ten-year-olds. Then the new thin Oreo appears and the pinkie falls head over heels for it. An Instagram campaign will accompany the digital video. According to Patty Gonzalez, Senior Brand Manager at Mondelez International, this campaign addresses grown-ups and the occasions Oreo Thins are all about for them. This is a very important launch for us”, explained Gonzalez. “You´ve seen lots of limited-edition flavors from Oreo, but this feels really special for us because we´re able to introduce a new cookie that really delivers the taste of Oreo in a crisp, delicate texture and format”.
