Zee Mundo will launch its app Zee Mundo Play for the US and certain Latin American countries in April

The signal Zee Mundo is preparing to launch their own TV Everywhere app. The signal currently has VOD-LOD-OTT and Catch Up TV available and is evaluating which of these formats will be most beneficial for them.

The tentative launch date is April for the US and some strategic territories in Latin America. Afterwards, they will expand their scope to other markets in the region.

They decided to launch an app is due to the surprising results of the mini-project Zee Mundo Play, which they carried out in 2017 when the company noticed that the pay-TV market was saturated. That is how they began experimenting to quantify the demand for the signal in markets they hadn’t reached.

By the end of March and beginning of April, Zee Mundo should be available on the OTT platform through their web page www.zeemundo.com, while they close long-term contracts.

The company mentioned that they want the audience to discover the Zee Mundo content, not only as any other movie but as an experience that only they can offer.
