The variety show Roxanna, hosted by the Mexican Roxanna Castellanos, that will debut on UniMás in the USA this year, marks the first time that Cisneros Studio produces in Miami a variety show of this sort.”I have a 23 year career path and always thought about hosting, but had never had the chance to do in one same show all the things I’ve learned. It came as a dream that had to be fulfilled and I am very happy”, expressed Castellanos to PRODU enthusiastically. She has been a dramatic actress, comedian, presenter, and now debuts as a host of this variety space.Francisco Arrieta, executive producer, talked about the format Roxanna. “This is the first time this genre is done in Cisneros Studios. It is a talk show, because there are lots of interviews and conversation, but it is also a variety show where anything can happen”, he says.The director of the program, Héctor “El Oso” Márquez, commented that they have scheduled to produce 240 Roxanna shows this year.”It is a daily one-hour show. Almost every day we record two, and when we don’t, we do monologues, because although the show is not a comedy, at the beginning of the program we open with a sketch and close with another one. We are doing it all in high definition and UniMás loved it. There’s talk about presenting it in the May Upfront”, he explained.
