WGEN-TV Channel 8 celebrates re-launch

WGEN-TV (Gentv), the Miami-based independent channel part of Caracol Television Group, is celebrating its new image, new slogan La Diferencia Se Ve and new programming catered to the distinct and varied interests of South Florida’s Hispanic audience. To mark this event, the general manager of WGEN-TV, Roy Meyeringh, hosted a trendy launch party on Wednesday 26th, at the restaurant De Rodríguez Cuba in South Beach, accompanied by the top new talent of Gentv, María Elvira Salazar, Andrea Linares, Gaby Acuña, Omar Nassar, Ricardo Brown, Laura Ferretti and Alexandra Rossi, among others. Among the guests that attended there were local officials and dignitaries, such as the Mayor of Miami, Tomas Regalado, and former Mayor of Hialeah, Raul Martínez, as well as industry executives, such as Miguel Sierralta, owner and president of Show Business TV. The event featured a preview of the new programming, a live band, hors d’oeuvres, and a raffle with unique prizes, such as an autographed guitar by Juanes.
