Warner Bros. Discovery Latin America/USH announced that Particular Crowd, its label specialized in original films, will become an independent content company. Both will continue collaborating after closing a volume and first option agreement to license titles for the next three years.

Peter Bevan, CEO of Particular Crowd, commented: “We are very excited about this next step. We are a small, entrepreneurial team that has nimbly thrived, and now we can fully appreciate the opportunities that this content-driven global marketplace can offer. We are very grateful to continue our close relationship with Warner Bros. Discovery and bring premium movie content to the Latin American region and beyond.”

“We see this as a win-win situation as it reinforces our commitment to local original content, while also bringing universally popular films across genres in English to our audience, supporting this small but mighty company and allowing it to thrive as an independent company,” added Tomás Yankelevich, EVP and Chief Content Officer of Warner Bros. Discovery Latin America.

Particular Crowd was launched as a division of WarnerMedia, and since then the brand has delivered more +100 films ranging from English-language hits like Escape from Pretoria, starring Daniel Radcliffe, to local-language films like Sex, Shame and Tears 2 from Mexico.

The company’s films are available in Latin America exclusively on HBO Max, with cinema releases such as Echoes of a Crime, launched by Warner Bros.

Particular Crowd will continue producing films for its active slate, including the romantic comedy Daughter of the Bride, starring Marcia Gay Harden, and the animated Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires.
