2017 will be the first year of operations full steam ahead of the production company W Studios, commanded by Patricio Wills. “For us, 2017 is going to be an essential year, it will be the first year of operations. In 2016 we built the company, but 2017 is when we are going to be producing fully, and with new products already being aired,” expressed an enthusiastic Wills.
He commented that La Piloto (80×60′), starring Livia Brito, starting in January will be delivered to Univision for its broadcast, and the second project, Las Buchonas (80×60′), is very advanced, after more than six weeks of shooting.
“The main course is El Último Dragón, a co-production with Televisa, by Arturo Pérez-Reverte, that includes shootings in multiple countries, with locations in Japan, Spain, the US and Mexico. We have planned together with Arturo, 80 episodes for the series. Life will say whether there will be more or less,” added Wills.
He said that they are already working on the election of the casting and the adaptation. It is a 300-page book to adapt to TV. They said they hope they will have the main actor to be presented soon.
“We will also be announcing the two projects that will follow La Piloto and Las Buchonas. We have a commitment with Univision to deliver four series per year,” he expressed.
