Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Americas announced on Tuesday that they will start their first productions in the recently inaugurated Viacom International Studios in Miami. Starting next week, they will start the production of MTVs Ridiculousness for the Latin American and Brazilian audiences, while Nickelodeon will begin production of the new cooking competition, Food Hunters. The studios, which have two stages and cover 88 thousand square feet, using modern technology, were finished at the end of 2015 and serve as multiplatform for the Viacom brands. MTV´s Ridiculousness, already with local formats in Spain, France, Italy, Africa and Holland, will now have versions in Spanish and Portuguese for Latin America and Brazil, with the title Ridículos (15×30). There will be 15 half-hour episodes in each language. It is produced in collaboration with Paradiso Pictures.Nickelodeon Latinoamérica will start the production of the new format, Food Hunters, where the Venezuelan chef, Lorena García, takes part. Food hunters, produced in collaboration with the Chef Lorena García and Cinemat Inc., is a cooking competition in which children participate in a race against the clock to collect ingredients and prepare an imaginative dish in an effort to impress Chef Lorena with their creativity and cooking abilities. To have our own studio with the most modern technology allows us to produce content in several languages at the same time, offering our brands around the world better service. Ridiculous and Food Hunters are just the start, commented Juan JC Acosta, executive VP and COO of VIMN Américas.
