Verizon partners with Vme for a series of Holiday events
Verizon FiOS and Vme are joining forces to ring in the holidays with a series of events at select malls in Los Angeles, New York, Dallas and Washington D.C. to celebrate family and culture. Together the two companies will host the free events that entertain U.S. Hispanic community through live experiences showcasing food, music, entertainment and activities.As part of this partnership, Verizon will sponsor existing mall holiday displays and turn Santas Village into an interactive station featuring the best of Vmes programming under the theme, Fuel Your Holiday Celebrations to the Max with Verizon FiOS.The consumer experience will include on-site entertainment, videos featuring Vme programming and other FiOS channels, food sampling and giveaways. The eight-hour extravaganza features live cooking demonstrations by chefs from Vme Cocina food block where they will create Latin holiday desserts including eggnog and strawberry Christmas pudding. In addition, there will be live animal shows courtesy of Vmes extensive nature programming from Planeta Feroz. To culminate the events, consumers have the opportunity to enter into a sweepstakes that will provide one lucky winner in each market with a complete Verizon FiOS technology system for their home. The prize package includes a 60 television, a computer, one iPad, one iPod, a phone system and a US$2,400 gift card for FiOS services. Verizon and Vme are promoting this holiday campaign through street teams, social media and in-store merchandising at events in New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles and Dallas.
