Cisneros Media announced the launch of Cisneros Media Distribution (CMD), a global distributor of programming and content for all platforms. The announcement comes in anticipation of the industrys first major international convention of the year, NATPE 2014, to be held at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach from January 27th through the 29th, where the newly established company will operate out of Suite 115 on the Tresor Towers 31st floor. We are thrilled with the coming on a new era for our programming distributor; its a natural progression as we evolve with the times, staying in-tune with the advances in technology, the development of new platforms, the ever-growing need for content, and the transformation of the manner it is delivered. Cisneros Media Distribution is determined to remain at the forefront of the entertainment industry as it builds on the sound foundation established by its predecessor, Venevision International, having a strong brand, an excellent reputation and a robust international client-base, emphasized Jonathan Blum, president of Cisneros Media. Formerly operating under Venevision International, the Miami-based distributor has been an industry leader for more than 35 years, amassing a vast catalogue exceeding 30,000 hours of television programming, which it has commercialized in more than 100 countries and 20 languages. Industry veteran César Diaz will be at the helm of Cisneros Media Distribution as its vice president, supported by an expert commercialization team that includes Miguel Somoza and Daniel Rodríguez, both in the position of director of Sales and Business Development; Daniela Montisci, Distribution & Traffic manager; Susana López Advertising & Promotions manager; and Niurka Corradino, Customer Relations coordinator; along with an administrative staff. CMD will continue to operate satellite offices in Asia, Europe and Latin America. Its much more than a change of the companys name, we have a new corporate mission that spans the globe, expanding with industry innovation as technology breaks down geographical boundaries, distribution barriers and the manner in which audiences view entertainment content, stated César Diaz, VP of Cisneros Media Distribution.
