VeneMovies celebrates the bicentennial of Mexico’s Independence with programming scheduled for September 16th, including films that represent modern Mexican cinema, an artistic and commercial renaissance.Among the films considered for this important celebration, VeneMovies will air two movies that touch on a subject on most US Hispanic’s minds: immigration. 7 soles (7 Suns) shows the dangerous situations men and women experience when they decide to cross the border in search of a better life. It is a drama starred by actor Gustavo Sánchez-Parra. Espiral (Spiral) is the second movie, which portrait the towns abandoned by men that leave their homes and families behind to find a means of survival.VeneMovies’ selection also includes light comedies such as Cilantro y Perejil (Cilantro and Parsley), which star Demián Bichir and Arcelia Ramirez. The lineup also includes the award winning Opera Prima from the director Carlos Carrera, La mujer de Benjamín (Benjamin’s wife).VeneMovies will broadcast these and other films beginning at 2:30pm on September 16th, dressing its screen with Mexico’s tricolor flag.
