Copa America is among the most popular soccer events for Hispanic Americans
Univision Communications Inc. once again secured the exclusive Spanish-language rights to the premiere international soccer tournament for the teams of South America.With this agreement, Univision will be the exclusive US home of Copa América 2011 and will leverage its broadcast and cable TV, interactive and on-demand platforms to deliver all the action of the 26-day tournament. Copa América 2011 will take place from July 1-24th in host country Argentina.Copa America is among the most popular soccer events for Hispanic Americans. The 2007 tournament delivered record-breaking audiences and reached an average of 21 million total viewers across Univision´s networks.Univision acquired the rights to Copa América 2011 from Traffic Sports USA, a leader in marketing and organizing events in North and Central America, and the Caribbean.
