During the culinary experience designed by the chefs Lorena García and Yisus to celebrate the global debut of El Dragón on Univision on Monday September 30 at 10pm, Patricio Wills, president of Televisa Estudios; Carlos Bardasano, president of W Studios and Gustavo Ordóñez, senior VP, Programming and Research at Univision Communications Inc., highlighted the program´s high production quality.
The main cast of El Dragón: Sebastián Rulli, Renata Notni, Cynthia Klitbo, Roberto Mateo, Sofia Castro, Natasha Domínguez and the writer Esther Feldman—who was responsible for the adaptation of the original story by Arturo Pérez-Reverte—also attended the event, held in the Chef Lorena García Culinary Loft in Miami.
“I don´t have the slightest doubt that the effort everyone has made has been huge. I am very optimistic and proud of the work we have done as a group,” expressed Ordóñez and added that since he heard about Bardasano´s and Wills´ project three years ago, they already said “it would be a breakthrough that would invent a genre, something that had never been done in Hispanic TV. That was contagious”.
“This is a dream come true after four years. We have made a huge shift with this product that has its debut today on Univision, and on Friday, October 4 on Netflix worldwide,” emphasized Wills.
“Tonight is the culmination of a dream that started four years ago with a visionary that is Patricio Wills,” added Bardasano, who thanked his team at W Studios and Lemon Studios.
