Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) announced the creation of a new Univision Corporate Social Responsibility Council, and an external Corporate Social Responsibility Advisory Board, as well as a realignment and expansion of the Companys Community Empowerment and Social Impact teams. Jessica Herrera-Flanigan, EVP of Government & Corporate Affairs, and Chad Boettcher, senior vice president of Social Impact, will lead the Council. Herrera-Flanigan and Boettcher will also co-chair the external Corporate Social Responsibility Advisory Board of leaders from the private sector, non-profits, community organizations, and foundations to help guide UCIs efforts. Jessica and Chad are two of the companys most insightful and strategic leaders, with a deep connection and passion for the communities we serve. Their combined, extensive experience with issues at the intersections of media, technology, public policy, politics, community empowerment, and social impact will help propel the Companys wider corporate social responsibility efforts to a new level. In her expanded role, Herrera-Flanigan will continue to lead UCIs Washington D.C. office and assume responsibility for all of the Companys community empowerment and CSR efforts, including Univision Contigo. Her team will include Ivelisse Estrada, senior vice president, Corporate Relations & Community Empowerment; Steven Levine, who will assume the newly created role of vice president, Corporate Social Responsibility, and will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of the Council and our Contigo initiatives; and Ron Estrada, who will take on an expanded role as vice president, National Community Empowerment. Chad Boettcher, who recently joined FUSION, will manage engagement with foundations, non-governmental organizations, and key brands in support of UCIs work to educate, engage and impact viewers in more effective ways.
