Univision and Dollar Phone launch a branded El Gordo y La Flaca phone card

Univision Communications Inc. is expanding its relationship with Dollar Phone to launch a branded El Gordo y La Flaca (The Scoop and The Skinny) phone card based on Univision Network’s popular news entertainment show.The companies previously partnered to launch cards branded with El Chapulín Colorado (The Red Grasshopper) and Despierta América (Wake-Up America). “Based on the continued success of our El Chapulin Colorado and Despierta América phone cards, we look forward to working closely again with the Dollar Phone team. Our partnership has taken some of the most beloved brands in the Hispanic community and truly brought them to life with consumers,” said Rick Alessandri, executive vice president, Enterprise Development, Univision Communications Inc. Airing Monday through Friday at 4pm ET/PT, El Gordo y La Flaca, is hosted by Raúl de Molina and Lili Estefan and provides viewers with a blend of breaking celebrity news, information on the latest novelas and reality scoops. Broadcast live from Univision Studios in Miami, El Gordo y La Flaca is also available online and on mobile devices via the new UVideos digital network.
