Ultra Clásico pays posthumous tribute to Sandro de América

Ultra Clásico will feature a posthumous tribute to Argentine singer and actor Roberto Sánchez (1945 – 2010), better known as Sandro/Sandro de América.The well-deserved tribute to the artist credited as one of the first Spanish-rock stars, whose pelvis-shaking moves and romantic ballads earned him comparison to Elvis Presley, will take place Friday August 12, 2016, starting at 2pm EST/11am PTS.“Sandro was a pop culture sensation. He is considered to be one of the pioneers of Latin American rock and some of his songs will be remembered forever. In order to preserve his legacy, Olympusat has restored in HD some of his most iconic films,” stated Jesús Piñango, director of TV Content Strategy at Olympusat.
