Telemundo Deportes will report ratings, viewership, and consumption figures for the 2018 FIFA World Cup beginning Monday, June 18, based on the opening weekend of group stage competition.
Highlighting this reporting for the first time for a FIFA World Cup will be Total Audience Delivery (TAD), which measures viewership across all platforms that are presenting the World Cup. For each World Cup game, TAD will include broadcast television, cable television, and streaming on phones, tablets, desktops, and connected TVs.
Telemundo SVP of Insights and Consumer Development, Lia Silkworth, gives further details about the TAD in this video.
Complete ratings and viewership for the World Cup will be reported regularly during the tournament between 4 and 6pm ET, including Total Audience Delivery viewership (broadcast + cable + digital) and Nielsen local overnight ratings for Telemundo’s top markets on NBC Media Village, NBC Sports Press Box and/or also distributed via @TLMDPR and @NBCSportsPR.
In addition to the regularly planned ratings news, Telemundo will periodically release brief updates around key game(s) or match day-related information at approximately 10am ET via @TLMDPR and @NBCSportsPR.
