Campanario Entertainment appointed producer Tita Lombardo as Director of Physical Production in Latin America, leading all production operations in the region.
Lombardo will be based in Campanario’s Mexico City office, where she will oversee and produce multiple television series and films, and work alongside Diana Mejía-Jones, VP of Spanish Content and Brand Integration, Campanario.
Lombardo is an experienced producer with more than 40 years in the industry. She comes to Campanario from KMZ Producciones, which she founded in her native Mexico City more than 17 years ago.
She has been a pioneer among women in filmmaking and TV, often as the only female executive on projects working alongside directors such as Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Babel, Amores Perro), Catherine Hardwicke (Miss Bala), Arturo Ripstein (Love Lies), Walter Salles (On the Road), Michel Franco (El Nuevo Orden), Carlos Cuarón (Sugar Kisses, Rudo y Cursi) and Robert Rodriguez (Once Upon a Time in Mexico).
Lombardo has produced more than 40 movies and television shows. Her recent television hits include La For más Bella for Netflix; Camelia La Texana for Telemundo; and the Amazon Prime comedy Cómo Sobrevivir Soltero, in which she has a cameo playing herself; the series is ready for a third season after a successful season 2. She is also a jury member of Eficine and the Mexican Institute of Cinematography (Imcine – Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía).
“Her groundbreaking career is truly an inspiration. We are proud and honored to have her join our team and add her experience and unmatched insight to lead our operations in Latin America,” said Jaime Dávila, President of Campanario Entertainment.
“Campanario has a proven track record of successfully developing and launching top global broadcasts. The team’s ability to produce projects that cross borders and imprint the American and Latin American mindset to the production process drove my decision to join the company,” said Lombardo.
