Since its inception, Tiger House, a production company founded by Alejandro De Grazia and Cristian Sessa, has consistently produced hit projects. It began in 2020 with the series Casi Feliz, which ran for two seasons, followed by the films No Me Rompen in 2023 and No Negociable in 2024. All three have been highly successful on Netflix, ranking among the most-watched content for weeks.
De Grazia shared that the idea for No Negociable came about when he met a negotiator and wondered what would happen if the best police negotiator couldn’t negotiate with his wife. “From that initial spark of an idea, I began to develop the story and find a narrative within that first joke. I’m very passionate about creativity, and different genres, and in this early stage of my career, I’ve gravitated towards comedy,” he told PRODU.
De Grazia chose to film No Negociable in Mexico due to his strong connection to the country. He approached Mauricio Ochmann with the project, and Ochmann immediately agreed. They brought Juan Taratuto on board as director, and the film became a resounding success. It reached number one in non-English speaking films in 35 countries and ranked number one in eight Latin American countries, garnering 7.2 million views in its first few days of release.
The action comedy was co-created and produced by De Grazia and Cristian Sessa, starring Ochmann, Tato Alexander, and Leonardo Ortizgris. The script was written by Julieta Steinberg, Daniel Cúparo, and Marcelo Birmajer.
“Coming from the distribution industry, we strive to understand the potential impact of our projects when creating them. Our goal is to make a significant impact and reach the top. Fortunately, we’re achieving that,” he said.
NEW PROJECTS
The production company is developing two additional comedies and a horror film for Mexico, as well as two thrillers: one set in Spain and another in Argentina. They are also pursuing an international production and are currently discussing it with Hollywood actors and directors.
“We are committed to producing local content, but we also want to ensure that it resonates with viewers worldwide,” he shared.
GOOD CREWS
He credits their success to assembling high-quality teams, as demonstrated in these three productions. He is fascinated by the interplay between feminine and masculine perspectives, and these projects have effectively explored that dynamic. “We strive to create entertaining content that also carries deeper meaning and resonates with audiences,” he concluded.
