No Manches Frida produced by Pantelion Films
The film No Manches Frida, by Pantelion Films, had its debut last weekend (that included Labor Day in the US), and the box office collection totaled more than US$4.7 million, in 362 movie theaters.
Compared to other Pantelion hits, No Se Aceptan Devoluciones, starring Eugenio Derbez, collected US$7.8 million in its first weekend, and the animation Un Gallo con Muchos Huevos collected US$3.4 million.
No Manches Frida is a film by Nacho G. Velilla, starring Martha Higareda, Omar Chaparro, Fernanda Castillo and Mónica Dionne. It tells the story of Zequi, a thief who, after leaving jail, decides to return to recover the stolen money his partner buried in a vacant lot, where the high school Instituto Frida Kahlo was now built.
No Manches Frida will have its debut in Mexico next Friday September 16th.
