Televisión Dominicana announces the exceptional nationwide results achieved by the channel during the Dominican Republic Presidential Elections on May 20th, 2012. The channel had the complete live coverage of the presidential elections, from 6am (Sunday May 20th) to 4am (Monday May 21st), at which time the ballot count had ended, and a new president had been elected. On a national level, the channel secured the number one position amongst Hispanic channels, in terms of coverage rating (All Day), averaging a rating of 1.5%. The most prominent hour was 10pm. At this time, Televisión Dominicana reached an outstanding coverage rating of 2.96% and an average audience of 98,000 viewers at 10:25pm, marking this as the highest peak in channel history in terms of audience. Televisión Dominicana surpassed, in terms of coverage rating, the most recognized Hispanic networks in the U.S., including Univisón, Telemundo, TeleFutura, TV Azteca, and Galavisión.
