Televisa Networks: Second screen is the future of TV

At the most recent Andina Link show, Fernando Muñiz, general director of Sales of Televisa Networks told PRODU the second screen is becoming the future of television, indicating this is where pay-TV operators are focusing their attention and are seeing how content rights are opening up to this phenomenon.“For us, the second screen is the future and we’re definitely opening to evolving towards everything relating to TV Everywhere,” said Muñiz.He pointed out that the distribution of channel UFC Network is yielding great results in Mexico and Latin America. “We’re very happy to be associated with such an important brand as UFC, and how well it has been received in the region. This is very encouraging,” he added.Muñiz ended his conversation with PRODU by saying that the signal Golden Premier, launched in February of 2013, has position itself well in the region among affiliates and the audience.
